It’s still winter here in
Indiana, but it’s Springtime in Arizona.
This is the perfect time to visit Mesa, temperatures should be in the 70’s and the Desert should come alive with Cactus Blooms.
This is our 3rd Journey to Mesa and this year we will be
staying at a new hotel, the Hilton Phoenix East in Mesa. You can expect the
elegance associated with the name Hilton. A full breakfast
buffet is included each morning
and a chef is on duty to prepare your favorite
breakfast choices. The hotel has a restaurant that is open for lunch and
dinner. Each night
you will receive (2) complimentary drinks and a hot food
item from their evening reception. Next to the Hotel is a Red Lobster
Restaurant. Chevy’s Mexican restaurant is a short walk away, as are a number of
other restaurants. The hotel offers a
free shuttle to locations within 5 miles of the hotel. Behind the hotel is
a 9 hole golf course.
Rooms have a refrigerator and coffee maker.
You will definitely be pampered during your 10 night stay at
the Hilton.
We will once again visit Sedona to enjoy one of the
most beautiful areas in Arizona. The red rock formations are a sight that must
be seen. A stop will be made at Montezuma Castle, featuring
cliff dwellings
dating back to 1150 AD. A visit to Superstition Mountain with stops at
Goldfield Ghost Town and Tortilla Flat and a cruise on
Canyon Lake aboard the
Dolly Steamboat are also planned. A step-on-guide will join the group for a tour
of the Phoenix area followed by
a dinner matinee show at Barleen’s
Arizona Opry Theatre. We added a full day of touring this area with stops
at Old Downtown
Scottsdale, The Orange Patch, and the Botanical Gardens,
including admissions. The Cubs are in Spring Training during this time and we
will offer one and two games. We will provide transportation to and from the
game. The cost of the game ticket will be additional.
