Shore Excursion, meals, wine and beer with dinner, bottled water & soft drinks and gratuities are included aboard the American Queen.

Southern Culture - Immerse in the literature, music and culture of the south, as well as its traditions, history and cooking. 
Our travels begin with a stop at the Covington Beef House for our included dinner. 
We then continue to Champaign, IL where we値l board the City of New Orleans Amtrak train.  Relax in your Superliner Roomette while onboard. 

We値l arrive New Orleans mid afternoon and check into our luxury hotel for a night in New Orleans.  Enjoy free time to explore this fascinating city!

The next afternoon we値l board the American Queen, the only authentic overnight paddlewheel steamboat in America. 
Enjoy 5 nights leisurely steamboating along the Mississippi River. 
Our first stop is St. Francisville, a quaint town located on the bluffs of the Mississippi River. With over 140 buildings on the National Register,
beautiful plantation homes nestled in the rolling countryside, and bustling Main Street shops, you値l find plenty to keep you on the go in St. Francisville. 

 Next we池e on to Baton Rouge, where you池e sure to delight in the seamless blend of past and present experiencing authentic Louisiana at every turn. 
Then it痴 on to Vacherie (VASH-uh-ree) the site of Oak Alley, a much-photographed plantation that combines architectural splendor and the natural wonder
of the canopy of 300-year old oak trees. 
We travel back to New Orleans where we値l board the train for our return trip to Champaign, IL. 
Our motorcoach will be waiting at the Amtrak station for our return to Lafayette.

      A $350.00 deposit is due at time of booking.  Final payment is due by March 5, 2012. Reservations may be accepted after that date based on availability .Cancellation penalties do apply.
$100.00 per person from time of booking until 91 days prior to departure. 25% of total fare for cancellations 90-61 days prior to departure. 50% of total fare for cancellations 60-31 days prior to departure. Nonrefundable 30 days or less prior to departure. Trip cancellation insurance is available.  Please ask for details when booking reservations
