Join
us for a weekend filled with wonderful music, historic sites and beautiful
scenery. Our journey begins in
Bardstown, KY
the bourbon
capital of the world. Climb aboard an air conditioned trolley for a narrated
tour and then visit
Heaven Hill Distillery
to see how that good
ol’ Kentucky bourbon is made. Spend some time at The
Civil War Museum,
the fourth-largest Civil War Museum in the United States.
Tonight we take a unique trip back in time aboard
My Old Kentucky Dinner Train.
During the two and a half hour excursion through the beautiful Kentucky
countryside we’ll enjoy a delicious meal prepared while en route,
by their executive chef in the kitchen car.
Our second day we visit
Berea,
known as the Arts & Craft Capital of Kentucky. Next, we travel to
Renfro Valley,
Kentucky’s Country Music Capital where
we’ll visit the Kentucky Music Hall of Fame & Museum. Then we are treated to
some great entertainment.
Our first show is the
Mountain Gospel Jubilee
where we’ll hear some of the best Southern, Country & Bluegrass Gospel
anywhere.
Enjoy our included Dinner and then the show that started it all,
The
Renfro Valley Barn Dance.
For our final day we have one more show, The
Renfro Valley Gathering,
a live version of the 2nd
oldest (continuously broadcast) radio program in the U.S.
Before returning home, we’ll make a stop at
Historic
Boone Tavern
for a wonderful Sunday Brunch.
