ST. LOUIS SLEEPOVER

                 August 9 – 10, 2009

Summer’s end take us on an exploration over the mighty
Mississippi
river to the “Gateway to the West”

This overnight adventure begins at one of the top ten family destinations in the nation, GRANT’S FARM. This historical home of Ulysses Grant is home to the famous Anheuser Busch Clydesdales and 281 acre wildlife preserve.
We will tour and do some tasting at the famous ANHEUSER BUSCH BREWERY . The evening comes with a visit to fantastically restored UNION STATION, for shopping and dinner on your own. She is still leaving visitors in awe of the beautiful architecture, Tiffany glass and detailing in the Grand Hall,an architectural “GEM”.

A visit to the CATHEDRAL BASILICA starts off day two. This beautiful church houses the world’s largest mosaic art gracing the walls and ceiling. After our tour of spiritual jubilation, we step back to the time of Dred Scott’s struggle for emancipation at the OLD COURTHOUSE. Find out why this was the trial of the century. A trip to St. Louis would not be complete without a visit to the ST. LOUIS GATEWAY ARCH and MUSEUM OF WESTWARD EXPANSION. Brave the tram ride to the top of this legendary icon where east meets west. Afterwards, discover the history behind it all in the museum. Enjoy a final farewell lunch aboard our sightseeing cruise,as we exchange waves with the Mississippi River .
