  Brown County ’s picturesque landscape, rolling hills, blue haze and unspoiled nature drew many artiest to the area.  In 1937, 
T.C. Steele, a well known artist, was one of those people drawn by the natural beauty of Brown County. He moved from Indianapolis
and built a home and studio there and encouraged other artists to join him.  Soon Brown County was known as the gathering place for 
artists and eventually became known as the “Art Colony of the Midwest ”. On this tour,
we’ll visit the former home of T.C. Steele
 and see many of his famous paintings in the settings that inspired them. 

 Our overnight is at The Abe Martin Lodge, nestled in the picturesque hills of Brown County State Park. Enjoy their 2,000 square foot 
indoor aquatic center that features a zero entry pool, water slide, water channel, fountains, water volleyball or basketball, 
and a whirlpool with a waterfall. 
 
Brown County State Park offers 20 miles of winding roads with scenic vistas and panoramic overlooks. Enjoy the 
views as a step on guide takes us for a tour of the largest State Park in Indiana. 
 The Village of Nashville , located in the heart of Brown County, offers a diverse selection of specialty shops featuring homemade 
works of art, handcrafted furniture, pottery, weaving, leather, clothing, wood, glass and other one-of-a-kind items.  
Enjoy some free time in this quaint town.   
We’ve included a tour at the “For Bare Feet” factory.  Learn the story of how a mother started this family business for her son over 
20 years ago. They now produce literally thousands of designs of socks for an incredible array of clients including the 
NBA, NFL, NHL, and dozens of Universities throughout the U.S.
