Ronald Reagan often referred to Washington D.C. as a beautiful city on the hill. It is truly a beautiful city, rich in history and architectural beauty. Travel with Imperial as we tour our Nation's Capital. Our first stop will be Mount Vernon, home of our Country's first President George Washington. You will be staying two nights at the Channel Inn, located in the heart of D.C. A step-on guide will join us for a tour of the city. You should see the famous Lincoln, Jefferson, Washington and FDR  Memorials. You will get a look at the White House, Capitol Building, Supreme Court Building and many other interesting historical sites. A partial day is given to explore the museums of the Smithsonian Institute. Time will also be allowed at the World War II Memorial. An evening tour is offered to view  the beauty of the Monuments under lights. Included in this tour will be Iwo Jima , Vietnam, Korean War, Lincoln and Jefferson Memorials. As we depart the city, a stop will be made at Arlington Cemetery, where you can visit The Tomb of the unknown Solider, Kennedy Grave, Curtis Mansion, Challenger Memorial and the Women's Memorial. We next will  travel to Gettysburg where a step-on-guide will take us on a tour of the Battlefield. Lunch will be at "Boyd's Bears" store.
